Yesterday Steve Balmer the CEO of Microsoft announced earlier this week that Windows Mobile 7 will be released next year. This does not come as a surprise to anyone that pays attention to the Windows Mobile news but when you step back and look at the economy and mobile market is this a wise thing to do?

Working on a site redesign

Android gets a full Linux install
Windows 3.1 on a cell phone is nice start but now we can add a full Linux Desktop OS to the list of operating systems installed to cell phones. Ghostwalker at Android Fanatic has managed to install X11 on his Google Android phone and even includes full instructions on how you can do it.
Safari beta 4 released but some are having trouble
Browser wars have always been interesting and Apple is continuing to add to the fun by releasing Safari for Windows. Yesterday they released the version 4 beta which has been widely downloaded but not everyone is happy about it or finding it very functional.
Snow Leopard updates are basic but good
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard is not going to be a major upgrade to the operating system but there are turning out to be some nice changes to the OS. Thanks to World Of Apple there are some new screenshots available that give away some nice clues as to the updates it contains.
