goeverywhere
Symantec has a new application in beta status that probably won’t surprise anyone that is a regular reader of OS Attack, GoEverywhere a new Cloud OS. It is the same as many other Cloud operating systems in that it is based off of standard web protocols and uses widgets for desktop applications.
- Taskbar looks like that of Windows Vista but with the Windows icon replaced with a Symantec icon.
- Integrated with Zoho applications.
- Password management. Once a websites passwords are saved into the system there is no need to enter them again for that site.
- Most websites open inside of the GoEverywhere. Some websites open in an external tab of the browser you are using due to the way the sites are designed.
- The desktop is called a “Webtop”.
- Will possibly have an off-line mode in the future which is the one feature missing from other cloud operating systems.
Symantec is a little overloaded right now with applications for people wanting to be beta testers right now but I still encourage you to apply if you are interested.
Check It Out> Symantec GoEverywhere
Sounds like G.ho.st in a lot of areas but definitely intriguing to here the offline mode…
What if you could have an Symantec connect with your hardware and act like on offline OS but then replicate your stuff identically so you can access it from another browser to get to your data in a familiar system…
Now there’s a thought.
