Internet Explorer 8 is being released TODAY!  The official download will be available starting at 12 noon EST from Microsoft.  This is the same browser that is going to be released in Windows 7 but wouldn’t have been better if Windows 7 released with Internet Explorer 7?  It would really help to keep the product names less confusing for Microsoft.

It is good to see that Microsoft is still concerned with security and enhancing Internet Explorer so it does not fall prey to hackers such as the one that hacked into a Mac yesterday via a Safari exploit in only a few seconds.  Personally I would still prefer to see Microsoft adhere to web standards and at the same time release Gazelle.
