Yet another security breach in the US military that begs the question “Why are military computers allowed to connect to data storage devices?”. Today’s story is about someone that purchased an MP3 player from a pawn shop which ended up being loaded with military information.
One of the good features of Windows Vista (and now Windows 7) is the ability to lock out any unauthorized USB storage devices. It’s relatively easy to configure and keeps employees from doing things they shouldn’t such as industrial espionage. I understand that Windows Vista is not the most popular OS but seriously how dumb do the tech’s have to be to allow this?
There are also high security government operating systems out there so why aren’t more government computers loaded with them? Or maybe they are and that’s why Obama’s team can’t seem to figure out how to use them (Yes I am aware they are loaded with XP but it’s still funny).

Technology nowadays are going very advance, so the military must be very careful on their information and must technological update themselves as well. This is no joke because these information can lead to bigger problems soon.
