Today is the launch of the Palm Pre and already there is an operating system update available for it. The update is about 67 MB in size and includes a new clock application. This is very promising for Pre users as it shows how dedicated to it that Palm is and just how easy it is to update the operating system.

To do the update, flip to the 3rd and last page of apps, 3rd row down you’ll see an app called ‘ Updates’. The rest is self explanatory. - @PreThinking

When it comes to the Palm Pre it is good to see that Palm is taking it very seriously and not slacking off at all. They have barely advertised it which makes many people worried including myself. While tech savvy people know about it the average consumer does not.

There is also a report that charging your new Pre with a non-Pre USB charger will fry it. For now I would strongly suggest that you only charge it with either the supplied charger or purchase a Touchstone charger from Palm.
