Add directories to the taskbar in Windows 7
One of the most frustrating features in Windows 7 is the over-integration of Libraries. Microsoft went overboard and decided that it was going to force people to use them no matter how much they disliked the feature. Currently it is not possible to pin a specific directory to the taskbar but you can use another toolbar to accomplish this same task.
Windows 7 Libraries Icon on the desktop sucks, REMOVE IT!
One of the new features of Windows 7 is Libraries which is supposed to help organize folders of similar types into a “Library” to make them more easily accessible. I have found myself despising this feature more and more every day. If you are like me and would like the Libraries icon removed from the desktop you can do it very easily by adding this simple registry key.
