Mounting a registry hive is one of those things that is extremely handy to know, especially when working with an offline operating system. To make it easier to understand I made this quick video tutorial to make the task less intimidating.

One of the new features of Windows 7 is Libraries which is supposed to help organize folders of similar types into a “Library” to make them more easily accessible. I have found myself despising this feature more and more every day. If you are like me and would like the Libraries icon removed from the desktop you can do it very easily by adding this simple registry key.
