At this point in the operating system market it is all about simplicity. People are realizing that when an OS such as Windows Vista is complicated (sorry but Windows 7 is too complicated as well) they lose time and only get frustrated. KDE is simple and just needs that media attention to bring it into customers hands.

More screenshots of WM 6.5, Microsoft still trailing the competition
Last month some screenshots from Windows Mobile 6.5 were leaked that were starting to show some promise. Today additional screenshots have surfaced that show a few new components of the OS including Media Player. Neowin has done some comparisons of them that show the earliest leaks were original albeit very rough.

As is typical of Microsoft they have more internal builds than beta testers will ever see and today screenshots of build 7032 have surfaced. As is expected with more recent builds there have been some changes/additions to Windows 7.
Android might be getting Cupcake crumbs but not the whole cupcake
As promised there are now additional updates regarding the Android update (RC33) that I posted about this morning. It looks like that a few of the updates are components of the Cupcake update. Michael over at Google And Blog has posted the memo from T-Mobile that includes the previously posted items as well as:

Android users rejoice! T-Mobile has confirmed that they are rolling out a major update to Google Android phones accross the US. The updates will be pushed one region at a time but should be completed by the 15th of this month.
