Remember when there was an abundance of talk about Google creating their own operating system to compete with Microsoft and Apple?  Google has never confirmed any sort of rumor but now there is news coming out about the rumored GDrive.  The difference this time around though is that the way it is being pitched is as a Cloud computing solution where your data would reside on Google’s servers.

Whether or not we realize it yet or not this is where computing is shifting towards.  If Google does in fact release GDrive it will have a major impact on the Internet as a whole.  A shift towards Cloud computing would be embraced by the general public much faster with the backing of Google’s name behind it.

Maybe Google is so forward thinking that they foresaw this shift before the rest of us and have been making their OS entirely Cloud based from the beginning and simply masking it?
